Gearing up for next week's release, Marvel Studios unveiled a new TV spot for "Thor: The Dark World" on Sunday (October 27).

In the highly-anticipated sequel, Thor tries to save earth from an enemy whose origins predate the universe itself.

Returning to the title role is Chris Hemsworth, with Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, and Christopher Eccleston rounding out the cast.

Check out the television ad below, in which we see the Norse god battling evil with his trusty hammer. "Thor: The Dark World" hits theaters on November 8th.
