Carrie Underwood Receives Artist Achievement Award at the T.J. Martell Foundation Honors Gala

Stepping out for a good cause, Carrie Underwood attended the T.J. Martell Foundation Honors Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Tuesday (October 22).

The "Blown Away" singer looked gorgeous on the red carpet in a short-sleeved, shimmering blue dress with nude heels and a matching clutch.

At the 38th annual event, the 30-year-old songstress was honored with the Artist Achievement Award. According to the organization, the T.J. Martell Foundation is the music industry's largest foundation that funds innovative medical research focused on finding cures for leukemia, cancer and AIDS.

Unfortunately, the day didn't start so glamorous for Carrie, as she tweeted, "My morning was going so smoothly...then I stabbed myself in the eye with my mascara wand...now all day people will think I'm winking at them."
