New Book: Kate Middleton’s Mom Quizzed Prince William on Marriage Plans

They've been happily married for two years, but a new book claims that Kate Middleton's mother Carol was anxious that Prince William didn't pop the question sooner.

Authored by Katie Nicholl,"Kate: The Future Queen" says the future king's mother-in-law pulled him aside in 2009 when it appeared the prince was procrastinating in asking for Kate's hand in marriage.

Though they did not get engaged until the following November, William assured Mrs. Middleton that there would be a wedding, and when grandchildren came along, she would be "fully involved" with the little one.

With the Duke making good on both promises, Carol has been by her daughter and son-in-law's side since the July 22 birth of her first grandchild, Prince George of Cambridge.
