They have taken America by storm with their infectious hit songs and boyish good looks, and One Direction was announced as one of the musical acts for the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show by several media outlets.

However, it turns out Harry, Liam, Zayn, Louis, and Niall won’t in fact be sharing the stage with a bevy of beautiful Angels after all.

Victoria’s Secret released a statement today denying that the “Best Song Ever” singers had signed on for the gig.

The release declared, “The recent reports regarding One Direction appearing in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show are untrue. The band is not performing in this year's show. We will announce our artists in early October.”
