Proving that the show must go on, Simon Cowell reported for duty at “The X Factor” set in Los Angeles yesterday (July 31).

The entertainment industry mogul was in no mood for shutterbugs as he exited a Hollywood studio sporting a fitted grey sweater with jeans.

Cowell has been named in the divorce papers of his former friend Andrew Silverman and his wife Lauren, as the Mrs. is reportedly pregnant with Simon’s baby.

And though Andrew is trying to say that Cowell was the primary reason they split, an insider told press, "It was probably not the best relationship when she first met Simon. It wasn't like they were blissfully in love at the time."

"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while. As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."

Back in May, Simon’s lawyer denied that there was any impropriety present between Cowell and Lauren. "Any implication or statement that my client is engaged in adultery and has allegedly broken up the marriage of Ms. Silverman is not only false but reckless," Martin Singer told the New York Post at the time.

And Lauren’s mother Carole Eisenberg actually sounds excited about the whole ordeal. "My daughter is a wonderful girl and a wonderful mother. People like to talk. That's all I have to say."
