Braving the steamy New York City weather, Fall Out Boy showed up at the “Today” show for a live performance this morning (July 19).

Patrick, Pete, Joe, and Andy were in fine form as they took the Rockefeller Plaza stage for a trio of hit songs, including “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark,” and “Alone Together.”

As for their extended hiatus from the band, bassist Pete Wentz explained that it just needed to happen.

“I think we knew we needed a break. You know, doing something for that long straight, you just need a break to reset yourself in life. You know, do your own laundry in your own house.”
