She’s always been a fan of helping others, and Rihanna just cut a check to the good folks at Barrington High School in Illinois.
The “We Found Love” songstress sent $5,000 along with her best wishes as a follow-up to her appearance at the school earlier in the year, and it sounds like the money will go for a good cause.
Barrington 220 School District rep Jeff Arnett told press, “The money will go to purchase new equipment for the students to use.”
Apparently Ri-Ri was four hours late to Barrington High when she performed there as part of her “Shine Bright Like a Diamond” contest, though the donation is more than adequate to make up for the snafu.
Arnett noted, "She was late in coming that day and a lot of people waited anxiously for her appearance, and even though this money is late in coming, it's still appreciated."
