Carefully keeping an eye on her dress' train, Heidi Klum attended the 2013 Costume Institute Gala at the Met in New York City on Monday (May 6).

Dressed in a gorgeous strapless light gray gown with beaded top and a matching feathered purse, the "Project Runway" host earlier snapped a photo of the view from her hotel room with the comment, "Getting ready for tonight's MET Ball in New York City."

Every year, the Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art puts together a killer collection of amazing goodies complete with a star-studded party to kick things off.

And this time around the theme is “PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” an examination of punk’s impact on high fashion from the 1970s up to the collections found on today’s runways the world over.
