Making a complete departure from her usual vibe, Carey Mulligan appears in an uber-artsy photo spread in the new issue of Flaunt magazine.

The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” starlet undergoes an impressive transformation from English rose lady to edgy poser thanks to some dramatic wigs, theatrical makeup, and colorful getups.

Carey has been doing myriad publicity duties as of late to usher in the arrival of her brand new film “The Great Gatsby,” also starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Of the “Titanic” stud she gushed, “Leo’s fabulous in everything — he’s one of the greatest actors of our generation. But he has gone further than you could ever have imagined with this character, and really made [Gatsby] so multi-dimensional, and so flawed and so vulnerable, and yet so macho and sexy — everything that you want in Gatsby. It was amazing. From the first audition he was so incredible generous and sweet and was helping me the whole way through.”
