3 Doors Down Bassist Todd Harrell Goes Straight to Rehab from Jail

Though he was just released from jail on Tuesday (April 23), Todd Harrell has already responsibly checked himself into a drug treatment facility.

The 3 Doors Down bassist was charged with vehicular homicide after a car crash in Nashville on April 18th. After clipping the back of a pickup truck, the driver Paul Shoulders Jr., was killed. Police say the suspect admitted to drinking and taking prescription drugs prior to the crash.

According to criminal defense attorney Ed Ryan, "He was released on bond and immediately went and checked himself into treatment."

Though he'd just been retained and could not give too many statements, the lawyer did note that the rehab stint was not court-ordered and the 41-year-old musician went voluntarily.
