After the original earned domestic and international box office success, DreamWorks Animation gave the go-ahead to a sequel for "The Croods."

Hoping to ensure success the second time around, Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, who wrote and directed the first will return for the new film.

As for vocal talent, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Dreamworks is in talks with the original stars to reprise their roles.

Back in March, "The Croods" hit theaters with Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman, and Clark Duke in the cast.
