In honor of her husband Barack Obama’s second term as President of the United States of America, Michelle Obama sat for a new official portrait.

Taken by photographer Chuck Kennedy in the White House’s Green Room, the image features the FLOTUS’s brand new bangy hairdo.

Mrs. Obama shared, "This is my midlife crisis, the bangs. I couldn't get a sports car. They won't let me bungee jump. So instead I cut my bangs here."

Also of note, Michelle is wearing a three-quarter-length sleeved navy silk and wool dress from one of her favorite designers Reed Krakoff.
