Adele Pokes Fun at BRIT Awards Cut Off during Acceptance Speech

Although she couldn’t attend the night’s main event, Adele was at the 2013 BRIT Awards in spirit.

The 24-year-old singer nabbed a win in the Best British Single category for her song “Skyfall,” and during her taped acceptance speech she poked fun at her BRIT moment in 2012.

"Thank you so much for this Brit Award, sorry I can't be with you tonight. I'm in LA rehearsing for the Oscars,” Adele explained.

"I won't keep you too long because I don't want to interrupt the Best Album speech at the end of the night....but, I love you all" the “Rolling in the Deep” singer added with a smile.

Adele is slated to perform is award-winning hit at the Academy Awards on Sunday night (February 24) and is also vying for a big win with her nomination for Best Original Song.
