She suffered a nasty head injury after falling on the steps at the British Ambassador’s Washington DC residence over the weekend, and Barbara Walters is recovering quite nicely.

According to a statement from the legendary journalist, she’s been receiving plenty of encouragement and love from her fans.

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg conveyed Walters’ sentiments on their show this morning (January 22).

“First and foremost, all the people who have called, written and been concerned about me, I’m most appreciative. I’m running a low-grade fever and the doctors are keeping me in the hospital until my temperature is normal. I’m pleased that it is going in the right direction and I will be home soon,” wrote Barbara.
