Given all the buzz surrounding Lance Armstrong's confession to Oprah Winfrey, his ex-fiancé Sheryl Crow has weighed in on the issue.

The “If It Makes You Happy” songstress explained that she felt bad for her former lover for having to cover up his doping and performance-enhancing drug use during his cycling career.

Sheryl began, “It’s got to be really hard to walk around knowing that you're not telling the truth about something."

"I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free. To carry a weight like that around would be devastating in the long run…I always contend that the truth is the best way to go."
