Given her fabulous vocals and commanding stage presence, it’s no wonder Alicia Keyss was selected to sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVII.

The “Girl on Fire” songstress will belt out the patriotic ditty on February 3rd in New Orleans, and hopefully she’ll avoid any lyrical snafus previously suffered by some of her pop music peers.

Alicia will follow in the footsteps of Kelly Clarkson, who had the honor of performing the song at last year’s big game.

In addition to Ms. Keys, Beyonce Knowles will also be in the house to give the halftime performance along with her Destiny’s Child cohorts Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
