She’s proud to be a newly-naturalized US citizen and Emily Blunt showed off her American flair during her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday (September 14).
The “Sicario” actress looked lovely as she chatted with Ellen, who stated, “You have to learn a whole lot of things to become a citizen.” Emily replied, “I know more about the constitution and government than most American citizens.”
DeGeneres followed up, “Do you know patriotic songs and things like that?” Blunt answered, “I feel like this is going to get me in trouble,” and soon thereafter found herself in a Statue of Liberty costume as she sang “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” But the best part happened when a man dressed as Uncle Sam ran out and surprised Emily with a scream!
