It was one of the hottest animated flick back in the early 1990s and now “Aladdin” is getting the live-action treatment in a forthcoming prequel film.
This week, Disney announced “Genies,” a comedy adventure written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift as a forerunner to the original 1992 movie’s storyline.
Per the synopsis, “The new project will focus on the realm of the Genies and reveal how Aladdin’s Genie ended up enslaved in the lamp.” And if all goes well, Disney has hinted at a live-action remake of “Aladdin” too!
