Zayn Malik might have quit the band but that doesn't mean he's also quit his friendship with One Direction as it's been reported that the now solo star will still keep the group as ushers for his wedding to longtime love Perrie Edwards.
It's been claimed by the Daily Star that the 22-year-old is also considering having the band sing their romantic hit Little Things for his first dance with the Little Mix star.
The couple flew to Italy this week in a bid to escape the media furore that currently surrounds the star following his One Direction exit. Malik has also been hit with a ton of infidelity rumours from when he performed dates in Thailand with the group. Swedish model Martina Olsson urged Perrie to break off her engagement. “Perrie should not stay with Zayn any longer because he has cheated on her and continues to lie about it. It is not the first time either, so maybe she will walk away,” she told The Sun.
Though, while some might reckon the holiday is an attempt to get their romance back on track others are claiming that the trip might be more of a decoy to get married away from the limelight.
Perrie recently spoke out about the wedding and said that it's going to be a pretty lavish affair. “It's going to be a massive circus. I always wanted to have quite a small wedding but than all the girls in my family are desperate to come and would like to be bridesmaids too,” she said. “Zayn will have Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam as ushers. And I'll have my band as bridesmaids.”
Fans say they have spotted the pair in Puglia, one of Italy's most beautiful regions, famed for it's olive groves, sun-drenched sandy beaches and rolling hills. However rumours are swirling on the web that the pair have flown to Italy as a means of jetting across the border to France for a wedding in Paris.
The couple were pictured leaving their home on March 31, along with their families. They then headed to Luton airport before catching a private jet to the country. On Wednesday, Perrie posted a picture of the couple kissing on Instagram, with the caption “oui” (French for “yes”). Could the blonde be hinting that their trip is actually to tie the knot?
