Billy Zane thinks Twitter’s blowing up because of him, bless

While the world has literally shut down following the news that Zayn Malik has left One Direction, it seems Hollywood actor Billy Zane just didn't get the memo. Obviously, Zayn has broken the internet like Kim Kardashian never could and bless Titanic star Billy, he thought the whole commotion was over him. Bless.

In the latest Funny or Die video, bravely mocking Zayn's departure which has had Directioners in pieces, the 49-year-old hunk is majorly baffled in the sudden interest in him on Twitter, which is pretty blooming lol.

"Hey, Internet. Zane here. I guess you know that, clearly,” he begins to the camera. "I woke up to a real spike in my awareness in my Internet heat. I had no idea all my fans were hysterical 14-year-old girls,” mistaking Directioners for, well whatever Billy Zane fans call themselves these days.

“Look I don't want to be nitpicky, but it's spelled Z-A-N-E not Z-A-Y-N.” Oh Billy.

He then goes on to read just some of the millions of tweets that ensued on Thursday, the darkest day of any one Direction fan's life. In one tweet, referring to Zayn, the actor admits he has enough of this Z-A-Y-N business. "Bad spelling again. Your generation has many great qualities but spelling is not one of them.”

After reciting some devastating, but also pretty funny posts from grieving One Direction fans, he ends the clips with a touching note: "I just want to say to my adoring and mysteriously heartbroken fans: You light up my world, like nobody else. You don't know you're beautiful and that's what makes you beautiful.” Ah-mazing!
