This has got to be the strangest celeb story of the week - John Travolta taking a selfie was a man, Justin Jones, he met at the gym during a 3am workout. They were apparently the only ones working out at the gym in Florida, not too surprising as it was the middle of the night, and Travolta introduced himself before posting for a photo.
Travolta, who has been keeping a low profile of late, looks pretty happy to pose for the photo, which we have to say does highlight how thin the Grease star's hair is getting. The user claimed that Travolta introduced himself to the man during his workout. He wrote alongside the image: "I thought I was at the gym by myself at 3am, then this guy comes up to me and introduces himself." Justin was working out at a Planet Fitness in Ocala Florida when the celeb run-in happened, he told ABC News after the post went viral.
This is apparently how it went down: "'Hi I'm John,' he said. That's exactly how it happened," "I said, 'Yeah, I know who you are!'"
While you'd think most stars would want to keep a low profile while working out, we're guessing that's why Travolta decided to work out late at night, but clearly he's not adverse to chatting as he pumps iron.
"We had a fairly long conversation," Jones revealed, saying perhaps 15 minutes long. He told the actor that he was a fan of Welcome Back, Kotter a show Travolta was at the start of his career.
"He seemed very flattered by that," he went on, "He asked a lot of questions about if I was married and If I had kids. The time just flew by." Apparently he didn't expect the celeb encounter to get so much attention and even failed to tell his wife about the meeting when he got home, instead she found out through Facebook. "I went on my Facebook and posted it as my profile pic," he said. "She asked, 'What the hell happened last night?'"
