The Walking Dead Trailer: Rick And The Survivors Go To War!

The second half of The Walking Dead's season five looks set to be even gloomier than ever with a trailer for the upcoming episodes appearing to show Rick, Daryl, Tyreese and the rest of the group unleashing a series of bullets in a forest.

The minute-long trailer, titled Surviving Together, opens with the survivors walking together in the middle of a misty forest as Rick, played by Andrew Lincoln, says in the voiceover: “Surviving. Surviving together is all that matters.” Although walkers aren't seen in the clip, the group suddenly spot danger ahead and, as is their second nature now, they quickly draw their weapons, most with guns but Daryl, Michonne and Carol with their respective crossbow, machete and knife, and aim at their enemies.

It won't be an easy journey for the desperate survivors when February 8 rolls around (AMC)

Among the other survivors shown include Maggie, Tyreese, Abraham, Glenn, Sasha and Eugene. After taking down the mystery target, Rick ends the clip saying: “It's all that matters.” Interestingly, Carl and his baby sister Judith aren't seen in the clip - is this a dark hint that something has happened to them? It's not known if the trailer is a scene taken from the upcoming episodes, but it's most likely just a promotional clip.

The first eight episodes of season five wrapped up on November 30 with Coda, an explosive mid season finale, which saw the death of one of the most beloved characters, Beth. The hapless blonde was shot in the head by Grady Memorial Hospital leader Dawn, who was then killed by a distraught Daryl. Her older sister Maggie collapsed in grief after learning of her death and viewers are anxiously awaiting to see how Beth's death will impact the group.
