Avengers: Age Of Ultron Second Trailer Is Here! Is This Marvel’s Darkest Film To Date?

Marvel have only gone and unveiled another explosive trailer for Avengers: Age Of Ultron; one of, if not their most anticipated pictures ever during ESPN's coverage of the College Football Playoff National Championship. And while we couldn't be more excited to see the entire gang back in action, we are more than slightly concerned that Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Hawkeye and Captain America may have met their match in the terrifying Ultron.

In just 90 seconds, the James Spader voiced machine causes mind-blowing devastation and as far as we can tell, there's not much anyone can really do to stop him. But Ultron's wrath isn't the only obstacle Marvel's elite army of superheroes contends with in this picture as the robot has pit each hero against each other.

We're still getting our knickers in a twist over Marvel's darkest bad guy to date, but what's even more startling is the epic fight between Iron Man and The Hulk. In the clip we get a glimpse at Tony Stark's outrageously cool Hulkbuster suit designed to take on the mighty green giant in what promises to be one of the greatest action sequences of the year. But who will come out on top? That is if anyone comes out of this alive at all!

“Everyone creates the thing they dread,” teases Ultron. “I'm gonna tear you apart from the inside.” Yeah, he's not messing! While we maybe be genuinely quite petrified about what's to come we are unbelievably excited in equal measures. From what we can tell Avengers has developed into something much darker but a lot cooler second time around and frankly we cannot wait to see what's in store.

The Hulkster means business (Marvel)

Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo will all reprise their recurring MCU roles as well as Samuel L. Jackson who returns as Nick Fury. They'll be joined by newcomers Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who makes his Marvel debut as Quicksilver, and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch.

The Avengers writer and director Joss Whedon is back to lead the sequel to the 2012 record-breaking box office smash which eventually grossed $1.5 billion worldwide.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron hits UK cinemas on April 24 and will follow in the US on May 1.
