Kelly Clarkson Thunders Back With New Single, Album Title & Tour Plans

Kelly Clarkson has announced the title of her upcoming seventh studio album and released her fabulous new single. Oh, and a tour's on the way. HIYA 2015.

The title of the record is Piece By Piece, and it's out in the first week of March - her first output since 2013's Christmas set Wrapped In Red, and her first ‘;proper' offering since Grammy-winning 2011 opus Stronger.

Its lead single, ‘;Heartbeat Song' is out today in most territories except - quelle surprise! - the UK; and is quickly hurtling towards the Top 20 on the US iTunes rankings. As with the vast majority of the pop goddess's lead singles, it's a right corker - perhaps not quite as blinding as ‘;Since U Been Gone' or ‘;My Life Would Suck Without You', but certainly better than, say, ‘;Mr Know It All' and ‘;Never Again'. Scroll down to hear it.

“We actually have a tour already planned and in the works, starting in the summer of 2015,” she told The Elvis Duran Morning Show today (January 12); giving the track its first radio play and announcing details on the album.

In conversation with the show's hosts, she also said she's keen to have more kids despite going through the ringer with first sprog River - so much so that she was admitted for special medical treatment; leading to comparisons with Kate Middleton. “I was hospitalised, it was bad,” she said when quizzed. "I was vomiting 25 times a day. I feel sorry for [Kate Middleton]. I can't believe I want to do it again, I must be insane.”

And on River, who'll celebrate her first birthday this summer? “She is not crawling. She has the largest head. She can barely sit up,” the American Idol winner laughed.
