It’s been an amazing year for Amal Clooney, and it turns out Barbara Walters finds the newlywed human rights lawyer simply fascinating. The recently-retired journalist has named Mrs. George Clooney to her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014 list as the #1 choice.
Walters explained, "Amazingly, Amal has been the subject of very little snark or envy. Maybe because we, like George Clooney, find it impossible to resist perfection. Or maybe because it is heartening to think that no matter how long it may take, the perfect someone is out there for everyone."
Amal joins past Most Fascinating Person honorees like Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Steve Jobs, JK Rowling, Mother Theresa and Nelson Mandela.
