Lena Dunham picked up the purr-fect gift for her BFF Taylor Swift's 25th birthday, a gorgeous gold necklace adorned with a picture of T-Swift's darling cat Meredith.
The Girls star is known for her eccentric and quirky style, but she certainly put a lot of thought into her present. After all, what do you buy the girl who has everything? Luckily Taylor loved the unique gift and it was the only present the star decided to share with the world on her Instagram, captioning the shot, "My birthday present from @lenadunham my new most cherished possession."

Taylor turned 25 on Saturday, but she decided to get the party going a day earlier when she performed at Z100's Jingle Ball in New York on December 12 before inviting a host of stars back to continue the party at her Tribeca apartment.
Unfortunately, Lena wasn't able to make the star-studded bash, but Taylor was still surrounded by her nearest and dearest, with Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Nick Jonas and Sam Smith all on hand to help her celebrate her birthday in style. BFF Selena Gomez even flew across the country from LA to party with her friend.

According to reports, the group enjoyed pizza, Japanese food and beer, and the stars all seemed in high spirits, goofing around together and posing for pictures in an array of Christmas hats. The party eventually died down in the early hours of the morning with Selena staying over so they could spend Taylor's official birthday together.
Meredith, however, was nowhere to be seen in the snaps, but we're sure she was enjoying having a whole new host of people round to fawn over her!
