He’s known for his penchant for pranks and Joaquin Phoenix pulled one over on David Letterman last night on "Late Show.”
The “Walk The Line” actor told everyone that he got engaged to his yoga instructor during his interview, though his publicist told The Independent today (December 9) that it’s not true. “It was a joke. Joaquin has an extraordinary and spontaneous sense of humor, but it’s not true,” said the rep.
Even “Good Morning America” tweeted about the fake announcement- “Joaquin Phoenix - not engaged. Says he needed to spice up his ‘story’ a little bit to capture the audience. People do love engagements...”
