If you can rely on anyone to embarrass you, your close friends are usually a safe bet and that's exactly what Louis Tomlinson did to One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik yesterday (Nov. 19) as he revealed to the world (well, E! News) that his fellow crooner's time off was owing to a "poo problem".
Despite unfair reports claiming that Zayn's absence from the band was down to substance abuse (completey untrue!), 1D band member Liam Payne revealed that the real reason Malik had been off was because of a "tummy bug" , but Louis has taken it one step further and revealed that by "tummy bug", his pal actually meant a serious case of diarrhea. Charming!
"He's got a poo problem," Louis told E! News. "And that's the truth and he's really not gonna like me saying that."
Despite his, erm, we'll stick with tummy bug, Zayn - who is engaged to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards - was seen boarding a flight to the US yesterday ahead of the AMAs. The floppy-haired heartthrob assured fans on Twitter that he was finally feeling better and was grateful for all of their support. "Feels good to be back, thanks for all your support! love you people x (sic)," the star tweeted yesterday.

The singer was deeply offended by claims that his decision not to fly to the US was because he had been abusing substances. "Zayn was taken ill after recording the Band Aid single at the weekend and was unfortunately not well enough to fly to the USA yesterday," a rep told Mirror Online. "He will join the band for promotion for the new album as soon as he possibly can."
Zayn himself even addressed the rumours, and revealed that he was deeply upset that people were quick to jump to such offensive conclusions. "I'm really angry and upset by what was said. I was really ill at the weekend, that's why I couldn't fly to America," he told The Sun.
Well, we hope your better Zayn-y and don't worry, "poo problems" happen to the best of us!
