It’s been in the works for a long time, and Mariah Carey's new record is finally ready to be released into the wild.

Titled “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse,” the much-anticipated project will hit stores on May 27th and according to Carey it takes its moniker from “a personal possession of mine that’s part of an entity that I’ve had almost all of my life.”

In a new clip, Mariah pleads with her fans, “Please don’t judge me for such a simplistic title. Come on, I was only three and a half.”
