Adam Sandler Slammed By Native American Extras on “The Ridiculous Six” Set

He’s usually known for cracking everyone up, but Adam Sandler’s latest project “The Ridiculous Six” is no laughing matter to six of his Native American actors.

On Wednesday (April 22) the extras walked off the New Mexico set, complaining that the script contained content that “insulted native women and elders and grossly misrepresented Apache culture.” Among the offenses listed were names like Beaver’s Breath and No Bra for female characters.

Netflix, the producer of the flick, responded, “The movie has ridiculous in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous. It is a broad satire of Western movies and the stereotypes they popularized, featuring a diverse cast that is not only part of — but in on — the joke.” “The Ridiculous Six” stars Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, Nick Nolte, Terry Crews, Steve Buscemi and Terry Crews. Sandler and Tim Herlihy wrote the script.
