Homeowner’s Association under fire for DENYING six-year-old cancer victim’s Make-A-Wish come true

Imagine when a 6-year-old girl battling with cancer has just two wishes: to beat her illness and to have a playhouse in her back garden. The Make-A-Wish foundation, which sets up the chance to make critically children's dreams come true, hoped to make at least one of Ella Schultz's wishes become a reality. Unbelievably, when their request was put to The Stone gate Homeowner's Association, poor Ella's wish was denied!

The Homeowner's Association leaders claim that building a structure in the Schultz's garden would go against the neighbourhood's covenants. Understandably, the brave young girl broke down in tears when she was brutally told that her dreams of a playhouse had been taken away. Haven't this family been through enough?

“Everything seemed to be going fine then we got a phone call: Your HOA will not approve it,” young Ella's mother Jennifer Schultz recalled. What the heck is wrong with people? It's a playhouse! It's impossible to fathom how such an association could be quite so cruel, and their feeble explanation does very little to justify it, if anything at all.

We're sure that if the HOA actually made the effort to go and ask such neighbourhood they'd find that the residents would surely be more than happy to grant the poor girl her wish. In fact, in the video below her neighbours are seen giving just that - their fully fledged approval.

Hundreds of appalled locals have campaigned for the association to change their minds. “It look like an adorable, miniature playhouse,” says one baffled neighbour, while Stone gate resident Brett Gable said: “Little Ella is darling, I think they need to reconsider. . . I want to look out my window and see Ella happy.” Another local, interviewed by KCTV5 said they'd be far more upset if Ella didn't get her playhouse than if an enormous one was in plain view from his window.

Supporters of the #SaveEllasWish campaign have decorated their post boxes and front doors with the colour green. For the rest of us, you can help Ella and her family pay for their medical bills via this GoFundMe page set up in the Schultz's honour.
