Fifty Shades of Grey BANNED in India

Fifty Shades of Grey has been banned in India with no explanation. The country's Central Board of Film Certification have refused to say why the Jamie Dornan bonk-fest won't be hitting the big screen in Indian cinemas.

We're going to guess it may have something to do with its running themes of sexual domination and the sadomasochistic exploits running throughout. Either that or it just wasn't their cup of Darjeeling tea.

Not that we're surprised. The erotic blockbuster has already been banned in a growing list of nations including Indonesia, Malaysia and Kenya. The chief executive of the Central Board of Film Certification, Shavran Kumar, refused to comment on the ban but explained that India's distributor Universal Pictures could appeal their decision.

Although, maybe it's for the best. Just last week, here in the UK, one cinema go-er simultaneously vomitted and soiled herself watching the racy flick, while in Mexico one woman was arrested for pleasuring herself in the actual cinema.

But despite reports of poo and masturbation, the film has gone on to smash box office records worldwide with the highest Valentine's Day opening ever. Based on the best-selling novel by EL James, the film has already taken near to $500 million globally and counting.

Last week Jamie Dornan confirmed he would be returning to the franchise following reports he planned to walk away on the request of his wife, who was understandably uncomfortable with her husband getting his bits out in front of millions of crazed fans. Following the phenomenal success of Fifty Shades of Grey, he'll get his kit off all over again for the upcoming Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed so we can all re-live Fifty Shades fever all over again. Lucky us!

Thankfully the film's still going strong in UK cinemas, which as we're sure you're all aware is out now.
