It's like a non-stop celebrity baby boom in the making this year with yet another big star announcing they are pregnant. This time it's New Girl star Zooey Deschanel who is expecting a new arrival later on this year.
Zooey, 34, will welcome her first child with her 42-year-old producer boyfriend Jacob Pechenik in Summer. The news has been confirmed by her rep in the states to US Weekly. The couple have been dating since August last year when Zooey split from boyfriend of two-years and screenwriter Jamie Linden.
Later in the same month Zooey and Jacob made their debut as a couple on the red carpet at the Emmys at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The couple looked blissfully happy together at the time so this will no doubt be very welcome news despite the relationship being relatively new.

Zooey - who was married to Death Cab for Cutie lead vocalist Ben Gibbard until they divorced in 2012 - will have the perfect pregnancy buddy too, because her older sister Emily Deschanel is cuurently pregnant with her second child.
