Jennifer Aniston is known for many things, but being BFFs with Selena Gomez is definitely not one of them. In fact, it's actually kind of shocking to hear that the two are actually friends. Jennifer revealed this information in an interview at the premiere of her new movie Cake.
Speaking to E! News, the 45-year-old opened up about the friendship between the two and explained how they both met.
"We have the same manager," she said. "She's just like a little cherub that I feel like I wanna take care of. And we've just met through our manager. She's been extremely supportive and wonderful."

This comes after the two were reportedly seen having fun together at a Golden Globes afterparty. However, this isn't the only time the two have been seen together. At the premiere of Cake in December, Selena attended and even detailed their friendship over Instagram.
"I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie CAKE, I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year. #cake #goseeit," she wrote on Instagram at the time.
A report from Hollywood Life claimed that that Jennifer even gives Selena advice about her love life. Specifically, Selena has apparently opened up to Jennifer about her on-and-off again relationship with Justin Bieber. Perhaps the two have a lot in common as Jennifer is also known for going through an incredibly public break-up with Brad Pitt, similar to how public Justin and Selena's relationship has been.

This just goes to show how much Jennifer and Selena's friendship has developed over the years. Selena actually used to get star struck by the Friends star and even made a terrible first impression. Back in April 2013, Selena told Radio Disney about her poor impression she made the first time they met. Apparently, Selena even ran away.
"I ran away from Jennifer Aniston when she said, 'Hi,' I was terrified of her," she said at the time. "I was scared, so I ran away and I'm really embarrassed about that," she added. "I didn't know what to do - it's Rachel!"
Who can blame Selena for being afraid though? It is “Rachel” after all.
Either way, let's hope these two do continue to be friends, as it would be interesting to see them star in a film together!
