Emily Blunt is officially the coolest girl in the world. She's amazing in whatever film she does, belting out a tune like a pro in Into the Woods, riffing with Jason Segal in The Five Year Engagement; she's utterly gorgeous and hilarious and after seeing her win at last night's Critics' Choice Awards, we now know just how popular she is in Hollywood.
The 31-year-old actress, looking amazing in an Emilio Pucci dress and some fab Jimmy Choos, won Best Actress in an Action Movie for her lead opposite Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow, and the star-studded room couldn't have been happier for her. As Em made her way to the stage, her good pal Jennifer Aniston leaped up for a standing ovation, looking genuinely thrilled for her friend. The two ladies regularly holiday together in their favourite spot Cabo San Lucas, with their men Justin Theroux and John Krasinski, so we know they're close.
Speaking of Emily's husband John, he also couldn't wait to congratulate his wife. Literally couldn't wait. The Office star was backstage when Emily's name was called out as he was presenting an award next. But he couldn't resist rushing out onto the stage to give his wife of four years a big hug - proving these two are one of the sweetest couples in showbiz.

Emily made sure to thank John in her speech, finishing up with: "Finally to my sneaky husband John Krasinski for being OK with the fact that he was married to a veiny, sinewy wrestler for the duration of this film. And also for coming up with my favourite line ever which was 'I'm terrified I'm going to wake up one morning and you're benching me.' Which I did, just to kind of freak him out."
That prompted a big laugh from the stars in the audience, including Reese Witherspoon and Keira Knightley. And if they liked that, they loved Emily's closing line: “It's the greatest thing to not be a damsel in distress in an action movie and I will forever — ah! So cool! And I will just forever be so grateful for the title of Full Metal Bitch," yelled Emily to huge whoops.
