“The Interview” Rakes in $15 Million From Digital Downloads!

The members of the online hacker group Guardians of Peace must be fuming as Sony has announced a whopping $15 million in earnings from the digital downloads of “The Interview.” According to a Sony Pictures statement the controversial flick has set a new record for their video on demand service, and that’s a welcome batch of good news in the midst of all the leaked emails and films as of late.

Following a massive hack of their computers, Sony initially decided to pull “The Interview” from its Christmas Day release, however the call was reversed soon thereafter and the film opened in independent theaters.

So far, Seth Rogen and James Franco have pulled in $2.8 million in theatrical ticket sales as well, and there are no signs of slowing down.
