Brad Pitt And Children Wear Matching Tuxedos For Unbroken Premiere

It was the Los Angeles premiere of Angelina Jolie's movie Unbroken last night, and while the director remained at home with a severe case of the chicken pox, it was up to her hubbie Brad Pitt and three of their children to attend the event on her behalf -- and boy, did they do it in style!

Walking the red carpet, Brad, 50, smiled for photos with Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, and daughter Shiloh, 8. The foursome were each dressed in a smart black tuxedo, reinforcing Jolie's comments to Vanity Fair in 2010, which saw the star address her daughter as a total tomboy. "Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style... she likes to dress like a boy," Angelina told the mag at the time.

"She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers... She dresses like a little dude. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits," she added. Well, if we learned anything from the family's attendance at last night's premiere, it's that the androgynous little girl can pull off a suit like a pro -- so why not!

Jolie's chicken pox mean that she will no longer be present for the next few days of Unbroken promotion. "I just want to be clear and honest why I will be missing the 'Unbroken' events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chicken pox," the actress said in a video statement released by Universal Pictures on YouTube.

The filmmaker then added, "So I will be home, itching and missing everyone and I can't believe it because this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it, but such is life." At the end of the 39-second video the 39-year-old then throws up her hands and waves goodbye. In a separate statement, Jolie said that she was "heartbroken" to be missing the Los Angeles premiere. But we have to admit, the star did have a pretty impressive team of stand-ins!

Unbroken tells the harrowing survival story of prisoner of war and Olympic runner Louis Zamperini (Jack O'Connell) and will open in cinemas on Dec. 25.
