Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed that his wedding to Sophie Hunter will be a “very private” affair. The news comes as no surprise as the couple, who announced their engagement earlier this month, have carefully kept their relationship on the down low despite the actor's rising profile, which seems to just blow up more and more everyday.
Cumerbitches blew up Twitter following the news of the couple's engagement so it's no wonder the British babe is keen to keep details of their big day under wraps. Speaking to Us Weekly at the CNN Heroes event in New York, Ben told the publication: "I think I'll be having a very private wedding," when the loved up pair finally decide to tie the knot.
The actor's exciting news didn't sit so well with his legion of devoted fans. Subtly making their announcement in The Times newspaper, the actor took the traditional route writing: “Mr B.T. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter," the post read on Nov. 5. "The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."
Benedict and his multi-talented actress and director made their first public appearance since confirming their engagement at the New York premiere of The Imitation Game – which, just so you know is hands down the film of the year – where the heartthrob stars as genius mathematician Alan Turing, the man responsible to breaking the Nazi's Enigma Code which effectively ended World War II. Hunter flaunted her humungous rock, blinding photographers and making us all very jealous in the process.
