Raven Symone is Bill Cosby’s First Co-Star to Publicly Speak About Rape Allegations

She’s never been afraid to speak her mind, and Raven Symone is setting the record straight against allegations that her former co-star Bill Cosby assaulted her as a child.

It’s hard to miss headlines surrounding the comedian’s tainted past regarding allegations that he raped women during the height of his stardom in the late 80s and early 90s, but Raven is letting everyone know that she is not one of the alleged victims.

"I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!" the former “Disney” star shared on Instagram. "I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!"

Raven starred on “The Cosby Show” with Bill from 1989 to 1992 and portrayed the actor’s step-granddaughter. She is the first of Cosby’s co-stars to publicly speak about the allegations surrounding the 77-year-old.

This week, Bill’s NBC comedy project and Netflix special were cancelled, along with his guest appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” TV Land also decided to pull reruns of “The Cosby Show” off the air.
