Prince William Lays On The Charm With Government House Reception Speech

He certainly knows how to win over a room, and Prince William said all the right things while addressing the guests at his state reception at Government House in Wellington, New Zealand.

After kicking things off with a Maori greeting, the Duke of Cambridge joked, “No insults yet,” while his wife Kate Middleton looked on.

Will also mentioned his son Prince George-"I hope George doesn't keep you up. He can be very vocal at 3am. I swear I heard him doing the haka this morning. He's a bonny lad and I'm fairly sure he will be a prop forward.”

Lavishing the Kiwis with praise, the Prince continued, “New Zealand repeatedly demonstrates its progressiveness,” noting that they were the first country to give women the right to vote.

Furthermore, William observed that there’s also “a beautiful landscape and some very nice wine as well.”

Following his speech, the Prince stood by as the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was unveiled, graciously thanking the hosts for honoring his beloved grandmother.
