Celebrities love to flaunt their furry friends, and Katy Perry was thrilled to introduce her fans to Butters the puppy on Thursday (April 17).

The fun-loving “Hot N Cold” songstress took to her Instagram account to post a photo of the adorable doggy, noting her departure from her previous feline preference.

Katy added the caption, "Meet my new Prismatic World Tour mascot, BUTTERS! nolongerjustacatlady..."

On May 7th, Perry will launch her Prismatic World Tour in Belfast, and it’s going to be a wild ride from start to finish. Katy explained, "I'm challenging myself again, pushing my limits as I do, as a Scorpio does. I'm very excited because I believe this is my best work yet as far as live performances. It's going to be just as colorful and fun as before, but it's obviously not based on candy. It's grown-up. It's more mature."
