“Scandal”, the biggest, baddest, and scandalous scripted series on television, is back for more. In the premiere episode of the third season, we pick up where we left off in season 2 with Olivia Pope (played by Kerry Washington) riding in a car with a man who it turns out is her father.

After chewing her ear off for getting emotionally and romantically involved with President Fitzgerald, he encourages her to “disappear” from the country now that her name has been publicly leaked identifying her as the president’s mistress.

But Olivia has a change of heart and decides that she’d rather not run away from the mess she’s made of her life. The only problem is that she has no idea how to emerge from the infidelity scandal she’s been thrust into since Millie went public that her husband, President Fitzgerald, was having an affair with another woman.

Thankfully, Olivia doesn’t work alone. Her gladiators are hard at work trying to clear their boss’ name, but other forces in the White House are working against her.

Which side will emerge victorious?
