After a lackluster season last year, the cast and crew of “Love & Hip Hop (New York)” have a lot of catching up to do.

Thankfully, Mona Scott-Young decided to clean house and get rid of the some of the cobwebs (Winter Ramos, Olivia, Jen the Pen, Raqi, etc.). In their place she transitioned Atlanta’s K. Michelle and two new ladies, Tara and Erica J.

Tara is the babymama and so-called soulmate of Pete Gunz, Cory Gunz’s father and Rich Dollaz’s mentor. Eager to prove his worth as a music executive (after notching exactly one hit under his belt) he has signed Amina, formerly of the group Buddafly. In a blatant attempt to mimic the Stevie J, Joseline and Mimi storyline, Gunz initiates a steamy affair with his so-called artist right under his babymama’s nose. Get ready to rumble, y’all.

Meanwhile, Tahiry and Joe have decided to rekindle their romance. But you know that the producers didn’t keep them around because Joe and Tahiry are good at happily ever after. Expect this honeymoon to turn sour very, very, very quickly.

Lastly, Yandy finds herself all alone and struggling to pick up the pieces of her family life know that her fiance, Mendeecees, faces a 20-year prison sentence.
