Sufjan Stevens Takes Aim at Miley Cyrus’…Grammar?

Everybody seems to have an opinion on Miley Cyrus' scandalous behavior, but Sufjan Stevens has a bone to pick with her grammatical skills.

In an open letter posted to his website on Monday, the 38-year-old musician began, "Dear Miley. I can’t stop listening to #GetItRight (great song, great message, great body), but maybe you need a quick grammar lesson."

What follows is a lesson in laying versus lying and the present perfect continuous tense, along with "Anyway, doesn’t that also sum up your career right now? Present. Perfect. Continuous. And Tense. Intense? Girl, you work it like Mike Tyson."

The light-hearted critique ends with Sufjan gushing, "Miley, I love you because you’re the Queen, grammatically and anatomically speaking. And you’re the hottest cake in the pan. Don’t ever grow old. Live brightly before your fire fades into total darkness."
