Lady Gaga, Eminem & Arcade Fire: Coming to YouTube Music Awards

Sure, there’s already a slew of various awards shows for music, but YouTube is adding one more to the mix.

The first-ever YouTube Music Award will go live on November 1st, hosted by Jason Schwartzman and directed by Spike Jonze.

Summoning some serious star power, the YouTube shindig will include live performances by Lady Gaga, Eminem, and Arcade Fire, as well as YouTube-grown stars like Lindsey Stirling and CDZA.

Nominations for the trophies will be announced on October 17th. Jonze told press, "We're setting out to create a night that's all about making things and creativity in the spirit of everyone that uses YouTube.”

“As well as giving out awards, we'll be making live music videos. The whole night should feel like a YouTube video itself. We're getting together a group of amazing artists and filmmakers to do this live - tune in to see what happens live."
