Taking her little girl away for a fall break, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise went on a safari at the Aquila Game Reserve in South Africa on Saturday (October 19).

The "Dawson's Creek" star wore a green sweatshirt, jeans, and a black hat as her little girl skipped along beside her to embark on the adventure.

While in South Africa, the 34-year-old actress is shooting her new movie, "The Giver," based on the popular novel.

Hitting theaters next August, the film co-stars Alexander Skarsgard, Meryl Streep, Taylor Swift, and Jeff Bridges.
