With star power like George Clooney and Sandra Bullock on the bill, expectations are high for the just-released “Gravity.”

And it seems the outer space flick is already delivering on the hype, bringing in a respectable $1.4 million in box office sales for its Thursday night release.

According to industry sources, “Gravity” is expected to rake in anywhere from $35 million to $40 million by the time Monday rolls around.

Per the synopsis, “A medical engineer and an astronaut work together to survive after an accident leaves them adrift in space.”
