Banksy’s Art Sale Goes Unnoticed in NYC

His work in public places is highly sought after, but British street artist Banksy found a way to put his artwork in the hands of some unsuspecting shoppers.

During his month long residency in New York City, his art has attracted crowds of tourists and plenty of press.

However, on Saturday, the artist set up a stall along Central Park to sell original signed Banksy canvases for the unbelievable price of $60 each.

As an old timer manned the booth, the pieces received little attention, bringing in only $420 dollars for the whole day. One of the images sold at the booth sold at auction for $249,000 at Bonham's last June. Check out a video of the sale below.
