2014 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Nominees Unveiled

It’s always exciting to see who makes the cut each year for the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, and this time around the nominees span the sonic spectrum.

Included in the list of 16 hopefuls are acts like Peter Gabriel, LL Cool J, Cat Stevens, Nirvana, Kiss, NWA, Linda Ronstadt, Hall and Oates, the Replacements, and Yes.

Especially notable is the inclusion of Nirvana, as it’s their first year of eligibility given that their first recording “Love Buzz” was released in 1988.

Rock Hall honcho Greg Harris told press, "I think it's remarkable in that there are so many first-time nominees. It's remarkably diverse in the type of bands that are on it."

The top five vote-getters will be inducted in April at a New York City ceremony. Fans can cast ballots online!
