Still basking in the glory of his 65th Primetime Emmy Awards win, Stephen Colbert had quite a victory lap during last night’s episode of “The Colbert Report.”

After switching away from a clip of President Obama, the beloved comedy host panned to footage of himself on stage at the Nokia Theatre at Sunday’s event.

Stephen shared, “It was exciting to be up there at the Emmys, drinking in the adulation, and I got a little love drunk and I had a bit of a verbal gaffe- a blooper if you will.”

Colbert then showed his acceptance speech- “Thank you to everyone who works on the show to make it possible”- and clarified, “I don’t know what I was thinking, because I’m the only one who does this show!”

Soon thereafter, Jon Stewart came out to congratulate Stephen on his win, in spite of the fact that “Colbert Report” actually defeated “The Daily Show” in order to nab the trophy.
